Clear terms and conditions for our computer repair and IT services

Service Agreement

By engaging Sakthi Computers for computer repair, IT support, or related services, you agree to these terms and conditions. These terms govern the relationship between you (the customer) and Sakthi Computers.

Service Coverage: Our services include computer repair, laptop servicing, data recovery, networking solutions, CCTV installation, and IT AMC support in Chennai and surrounding areas.

Service Charges & Payment

Diagnostic & Service Fees

  • Diagnostic Charge: ₹150 for initial diagnosis (waived if repair is performed)
  • Service Charges: As quoted after diagnosis, with transparent pricing
  • Home/Office Visit: ₹200 within 10km, ₹300 beyond 10km from our Chennai location
  • Emergency Service: 50% surcharge for same-day or urgent repairs

Payment Terms

  • Payment due upon service completion unless otherwise agreed
  • Accepted payments: Cash, UPI, debit/credit cards, bank transfer
  • For AMC services: Advance payment required for annual contracts
  • Parts cost to be paid in advance for procurement

Warranty & Guarantee

Service Warranty

  • Repair Work: 3 months warranty on labor and services performed
  • Parts Replacement: Warranty as per manufacturer's terms (typically 6-12 months)
  • Software Installation: 1 month support for OS and software issues
  • Data Recovery: Success rate guarantee where technically feasible

Warranty Exclusions

  • Physical damage due to mishandling, liquid spills, or accidents
  • Issues arising from virus infections or malware after service
  • Damage due to power fluctuations or electrical issues
  • Normal wear and tear of components
  • Services performed by other technicians post our repair

Customer Responsibilities

Before Service

  • Backup important data before bringing device for repair
  • Remove any confidential or sensitive information
  • Provide accurate contact information for service updates
  • Inform about any existing issues or previous repairs

Device Collection

  • Collect repaired device within 15 days of completion notice
  • Storage charges of ₹50/day applicable after 15 days
  • Unclaimed devices after 90 days may be disposed of to recover costs
  • Original purchase receipt may be required for warranty claims

Liability & Limitations

  • Use best industry practices and genuine parts where specified
  • Maintain confidentiality of customer data and information
  • Provide transparent pricing and clear communication
  • Respect customer property and maintain secure storage

Limitation of Liability

Important: Our liability is limited to the cost of service performed. We are not responsible for data loss, business interruption, or consequential damages. Customers are advised to maintain appropriate backups and insurance.

Cancellation & Refunds

  • Service Cancellation: Possible before work begins; diagnostic charges may apply
  • Partial Refunds: Available for services not yet performed in multi-service packages
  • Parts Returns: Custom-ordered parts are non-refundable once delivered
  • AMC Cancellation: Pro-rated refunds available with 30-day notice

Data & Privacy

We respect customer privacy and data security. Personal files are accessed only when necessary for repair services and with explicit permission. See our Privacy Policy for detailed information on data handling practices.

Dispute Resolution

In case of any disputes or concerns:

  3. We aim to resolve all issues within 48 hours of notification
  4. Unresolved disputes shall be subject to Chennai jurisdiction
